"In the End" from Linkin Park came up. It's a great song but especially now I felt it held such meaning for me. Indulge me, and walk with me through my interpretation of the meaning of this song for me.

(What it meant to me: a strong mindset only goes with a firm resolve, to hang by a thread of that which you believe will happen, Orc's just a tough spot. It's now part of a memory of a time whereby I was struggling against the tide)
(I tried so hard, and got not far, in the end, it didn't even matter, all the practice and all my resolve couldn't avail)

(Things aren't the way they used to be - Human / Elf dominates all tournaments, and each orc map is being systematically removed. Is there a reason that SV, LT, Maelstrom, Gnoll Wood are being dropped by many tournament organisations? What of Turtle Rock (has never ever been good for Orc), Terenas Stand (has been good against Undead for a couple of months, never been good against Human& Elf), Twisted Meadows (good map for Orc against Human only! Or so they said... guess militia creeping has something to say about this), Echo Isles (decent map)? Why have these maps stood the test of time for more than 4 years?)
(If you knew me, you knew I've never limited myself to one race. I once was Orc, until Dryad/Bear drove me to explore the possibilities of Night Elf and more importantly abandon Orc. I once was Elf until I decided a human was going to win WCG 2003 for sure- I wanted to be that human and I got closer than I ever could've with Night Elf. I once was Human, until I decided TFT offered new possibilities to the Orc race, my first love, and I solidified my presence in the scene with Orc. Many players see switching race as a weakness - I allow you your beliefs without passing judgment. I see the choice of switching race as a strength, one that inspires creativity, offers enjoyment, stimulates new thought processes, keeps opponents off-balance and can create chance where before you saw only defeat. You can not convince me that changing race is a weakness. Sticking with a strategy, or race, where you know it leads to defeat, is a weakness. Now it all comes back to me, and I wonder if I shall take a look on the other side.)

Kommt ein Troll-Doc zu nem Peon auf die Farm und beginnt.
"Hey Peon. Ich brauch 50 Kilo Kodo-Haare für meine Kodo-Haar-Matratze. Morgen hol ich mir das ganze ab."
Der Peon beginnt also seinen ganzen Kodos zu scheren, schafft es aber nur 48 Kilo zusammen zu bekommen. In seiner Verzweiflung geht er zu seinem Großvater, schneidet ihm den Bart ab und mischt die Haare darunter. Und siehe da. es sind genau 50 Kilo.
Am nächsten Tag kommt der Doc, holt sich die Haare ab und der peon marschiert fröhlich auf die Felder.
Als er jedoch am Abend zurück kommt, sieht er wie sein Großvater auf dem Dach seiner Farm sitzt.
"He Opa! was machst du denn da oben?"
"Der dämliche Doc war schon wieder da und wollte 50 Hühnereier!"
"Und?"
"Wir haben nur 48!"

Damit hat keiner gerechnet. Ich als alter Grubbyfan auch nicht. Respekt für die deutsche Mannschaft. Für Tod war wahrscheinlich keine Klimaanlage in der Nähe, deswegen hat er sein Match verschoben.

Ja hallo erstmal ich bins :-)
Der liebe dotShadowhunter hat zur Zeit wohl einiges um die Ohren, aber da er seinen Blog ja nicht versauern lassen kann, werd ich mal hier ein bisschen was posten.

Ich möchte gern etwas von der "Hauptliga" dieses Blogs (ESL, WC3L) ablenken auf eine andere Liga: die NGL.

Grundsätzlich ist zu sagen dass die NGL ein etwas anderes Spielsystem als die ESL-Ligen hat:
Hier treten alle Spieler eines Teams (4) hintereinander im Best of 1 gegeneinander an, wobei das "Sieger bleibt am Platz" Prinzip gilt. Solange ein Spieler also nicht verliert, spielt er weiter. Das Team, welches als erstes 4 Punkte (Siege) erringt, hat die Runde gewonnen.

Da die neue Saison der NGL am 12. September von 4K mit einem soliden 4:2 Sieg gegen PGS eröffnet wurde, und der 2. Matchday frisch am laufen ist, werde ich ab heute ein wenig die Liga beobachten und den Blog dementsprechend am laufenden halten.

Wens noch interessiert, die letztjährigen Finalplatzierungen: (Vllt ganz interessant)
1st Place: Meet Your Makers
2nd Place: mousesports
3rd Place: 4Kings
4th Place: SK Gaming

Noch als kleines Nachwort: mTw.Pokerroom scheint ein wenig Aufwind zu haben. Der deutsche Clan, der in der vorigen Saison doch eher mager unterwegs war, konnte am ersten Spieltag gegen MYM gute 3 Punkte und gegen 4K durchaus akzeptable 2 Punkte erreichen.

Dann bis auf ein neues (vermutlich nächste Woche, Samstag sollten ein paar games laufen).
